EX6100 as an Access Point

Hello all, I recently bought an EX6100 range extender and I am trying to set it up as an access point. I was able to set it up and complete a firmware upgrade. Since then I cannot access my extender via www.mywifiext.net. When I type this in it takes me to a page that says New Extender Setup. I click on it and I'm prompted to enter a username, password (twice) and answer 2 security questions. When I do and click next I'm taken back to the previous page where it prompts me to do the process all over again. ???????

I'm running Windows 10 and have a wireless router through Comcast. Any help would be great. Thank you........

    Hi phileefan,

    Thanks for writing in.

Are you experiencing a similar issue as described here? :

    https://community.netgear.com/t5/WiFi-Range-Extenders-Repeaters/Unable-to-log-in-after-updating-firmware/m-p/1000319

Do you recall which firmware version is now on your EX6100? Is it the version listed here? : http://support.netgear.com/product/EX6100

When the EX6100 is turned on, please press and hold the Factory Reset button for at least 7 seconds until the Power LED blinks amber.

Then release the button. The EX6100 will now reset to factory settings.

Then try to log into mywifiext.net again.

Another option is to setup as Extender: Push the physical switch to "Extender" on your EX6100, and set it up as Extender mode. See if you can access the settings page.

If you can, then manually upload a previous firmware version.

Also clear your browser history/cache and try other browsers to login to mywifiext.net

      Hello nhann,

Thanks for your reply. I did the factory reset and afterwards I was taken to the New Extender Setup screen. This time after I entered all my info, I was taken to a setup screen.

It ran through the setup of my extender. When completed I checked the firmware and it had already updated to the most recent version V1.0.1.36_1.0.114.

Everything seems to working correctly now. Again, thanks for your help.
