EX6100 Extender- Cannot Progress Past "Next" in New Extender Setup

I recently got a secondhand Ex6100 range extender from a friend and I'm having a tough time setting it up. I did a factory rest and got to "New Extender Setup". I enter all the necessary creditials(admin;password) and it will not let me progress past "Next". Pressing "Next" does nothing and it has actually timed out on me once. I also cannot update the firmware as going to the "Start Repeater" link sends me to "New Extender Setup"

    what firmware is on the extender? 

    have you tried changing pc/laptops? 

    Or a different browser? 

    It also has a ethernet port you can hardwire into for setup. it tends to go smoother for setup. Just make sure you disabled the laptop/desktop devices wifi so its not defaulting back to the working connection.
