Yes. I had it working at my office, then I moved it into my home. I did factory twice.

I am a bit confused. Please give me specific instructions to "log into the router."

Not sure what router you have but you can usually access them using a browser interface to change the routers settings.
From within that interference, there tends to be an attached devices page (or equivalent)
without knowing what router you connected it to, its tough to be specific on telling you how to access it but the routers user manual should go over how to access it using a web browser.

try going to routerlogin . com or 192.168.1.1
log into the router there and then go to the attached devices page.

If its connected to the router, it should show up there. It might not say netgear extender under the description.
