EX6110 not accept password

This device worked fine but then I needed a new router. When I got a new router (same model as before) it decided it didn't want to accept the new password. This means that I can't connect to the internet through the device and thus can't set up or troubleshoot the device. I've tried a factory reset several times and have even moved it to being right next to the hub but these haven't worked. It doesn't have an ethernet port so I can't do it that way either.
I have spent hours going through the website, other websites and even this website and although lots of people have this issue, there never seems to be a reported solution for when this happens.

     what router are you connecting it to? 

    what firmware is on the extender? 

    Are you trying to set it up using wps or the installation assistant?
