what router did you connect to?
did you setup via wps or the installation wizard?
do you have a different device you could try connecting it to just to verify its not a device issue?
what firmware are you on?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I am using the router provided by plusnet, at the bottom it says SAFEMCOM Plusnet Hub One.
I setup the extender via wps.
Unfortunately, I don't have another router to try.
I managed to make it work now and the speed was OK but other devices, i.e. ipad, mobiles, keep being cut off the internet connection. I have to restart the router from time to time.
Thanks again for your reply.

One thing to keep in minde, the device---router link led can only show for one connection back to the router. If one connections great and the other not so great, it can create issues.
a couple things you can try.
1. move the extender closer to router.
2. optimize your wifi. download a wifi scanner program to see which channels have the least congestion and try switching to a less congested channel.
3. optimize placement. objects in your home could be blocking signals. furniture, hvac in wall, radiators, etc. sometimes moving laterally can help with reception as well.
