EX6120 firmware upgrade failed and power light blinking
Hi I have a netgear WiFi range extender which went power light blinking phase now while I have tried to upgrade the firmware version ....48 , It happened while I have tried to do it through my net gear account ( maybe my main WiFi signal was weak and it couldn’t upgrade the firmware properly , hence stuck in middle) However, afterwards I have tried by downloading the firmware file from net gear site(with my MacBook ) which requires a TFTP client and I have got that one too. But while I’m trying to flash the extender through the Ethernet cable connected after providing the Address field and uploading the Firmware latest version (48) it’s showing an error message “ no response from server” Even after that I have tried it from a windows PC and the result is same .
Could anyone suggest me please how can I flash the netgear extender ?!
Will be appreciated .
Thanks

You have to follow the guide precisely. There's lots of spots for error.

also make sure you enabled tftp when you used windows.

Try watching this video walk through. its very instructional.

Hi thanks, for your quick response, the steps you stated i have tried them all before as i have seen the youtube video but i am using a macbook to perform the TFTP client process to transfer the flash file, but every time it showed Error message "server was not responded"
i have tried network address 192.168.1.1/192.168.0.1(both alternatively) AND i am using a mcbook for that i followed the following link to set up the ethernet network https://kb.netgear.com/25191/Configuring-TCP-IP-and-Proxy-Settings-on-Mac-OSX
but that did not work as well.
is there any other way performing the process with a macbook as i dont have a windows laptop.
thanks
