EX6120 WiFi extender works on 5Ghz, but 2.4 will not allow anything to connect.

This has been working for a while, but now for some reason, the 2.4GHz band will not allow anything to connect to it.  I have checked the settings and everything is the same.  I even reset the whole unit.  The 5GHz band works, but for some reason, my devices will not connect to the 2.4GHz band.  Ive tried with my Google Pixel 7, I've tried with my HP laptop, and other devices.

I would stick with just the 5GHz, but unfortunately I have some devices that work with only 2.4GHz.

I tried turning off the SSID and radio of the 2.4 disabling it completely and re-enabling it.  Still no luck.

Did you set it up using the push button WPS option?

If so, factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.

To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.

Here's a video of how to use the assistant.

Did you see the attached picture?  That is a screenshot of my setup/status screen.  I did go through the steps in the video.  I did this over a year ago when it worked. Now all of a sudden the 2.4 is not working correctly.

I've tried resetting it multiple times and went through those steps.  The only difference now is that I am using an ASUS RT-AX88U Pro router.  I had a D-Link router when I originally purchased this Netgear extender, but for some reason its not working with the 2.4 GHz band.

Is there some quirk of Netgear's extenders that do not like working with an ASUS router?

Are you using wpa2 or wpa2 on the Asus router.
