I am thinking of these possibilities:
- Hardware issue in the EX6120
- Power instability (perhaps due to the extender being a bit loose in the outlet)
- Cabling
- Hardware issue with the switch port.
I suggest moving the extender to an outlet near the switch, and connecting a different cable to a different switch port. Then see if the problem resolves (or not).
If it does resolve, then you can try other steps to isolate the cause (different switch port, different outlet). Hopefully it is not the cabling, as that can be the most difficult thing to replace.
