EX6150_WPS set up will not connect to 5GHz only the 2.4GHz

Yep, don't use wps. it can get coded different between different manufacturers and cause issues.
Try using the installation wizard instead. It tends to work better when wps is having issues.
Is there a trick to using the installation link? When I try I cannot connect because I'm not connected to the internet.
start by factory resetting it. push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its fully powered on.
Then you can either connect to the wifi and follow the install guide or you can hardwire into it and follow the guide.
i'd recommend the hardwiring in method as it tends to go faster/smoother. Just make sure to disable the wifi on whatever device you hardwire into it (if you do) so it doesn't default back to the wireless connection.the install guide can be found here
