Hi PQALZM,
You can change the SSID of extender to same as router. You can use the link https://kb.netgear.com/26074/How-to-change-the-SSID-password-and-wireless-security-of-your-EX7000 to do the same. Do note that not all devices will do seamless roaming and devices that supports 802.11k only support seamless roaming.
