Have you tried installing it using the installation assistant?
There's a video on the support site showing using the installation assistant (2nd video i think)

What router is it connecting to?
What firmware is on the extender?
What are all the led lights on it doing?
did you try a factory reset of both the router and the extender?

Router is Netgear Nighthawk
How do I determine firmware on extender since it won't connect?
The WPS light on extender stays green after blinking.
The WPS light on router blinks green, then goes dark.
Reset is a good idea; I will try that now.
Thanks for trying to help me! (67 year old lady!)

How do I determine firmware on extender since it won't connect?---if you connect to the extender either via wifi or ethernet, you can log into it. That lets you see its firmware, status page, and connection status. There's also 2 versions of the EX6150. One is a mesh device (version 2) and the other isn't. The firmware or full model number would tell me which version it is. If its mesh, when setup with wps, it uses the same ssid as the router so you won't "see" the ssid/wireless name. but devices will roam to it.
The WPS light on extender stays green after blinking. ----thats exactly how it works. Blinks during setup and stays solid when setup.

You might have set it up. If its the mesh version of the ex6150 and you set it up using wps, it sets up using the same ssid as the router. Devices will roam to it automatically depending on connection to router vs extender. It won't show up as a seperate network.
