I tried registering it and it told me it was already registered to someone please help me I lost the receipt if you need that but I bought a older one for it just doesn’t have a Ethernet port

did you buy a used/renewed/refurbished unit?
You don't need to register it to use it. You can follow the installation guide and install it as normal without needing the registration.

The devil is in the details.
When you try to connect the device to a PC, what are you doing an what happens?
For example, is this a wifi connection or wired? With what?
Manuals are always a good place to start.
Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
That page will also have any software, firmware and drivers for your device, if they exist.
Look for the model number on the label on the device.
Begin with the Quick Start/Installation Guide.
You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
