More info is needed.
1. What router are you connecting to?
2. What firmware is on the extender?
3. What are the interior walls in your house made off? many materials impact signals such as plaster lathe, foil lined insulation, hvac, etc.
4. How far from the router are you?
5. When you move it to where you like and you hardwire into the extender, what speeds do you get?
6. are you setting it up via fastlane or standard extender mode?
7. What speeds do you pay for?
8, what speeds do you get just connected to wireless (not the extenders wireless) where you're placing it?

1 im connected to the TELMEX companny in Mexico speed is 200 download and 50 upload------not a router model.
2 the firmware on the extender is up to date.-----doesn't help. firmware changes or people think they're on the latest but not. Plus if anyone looks at this in the future for help, they might be on differnet firmware. Please put the # your on.
3, 4, 5 for test propouses, the extender is next to the modem----doesn't tell me home materials. Doesn't tell me what hardwired speeds are as you move the extender around. When the extender is hardwired to a pc/laptop, you're testing the connection back to the router for optimum placement. That's why I ask this. Hardwire to it and move it around and check your speeds.
6 I have 2 options to set it up, as a hot spot and as a wifi extender. i set it up as a wifi extender----Good. An answer to a question.
7 speed is 200 download and 50 upload-----thanks
8 speed is 200 download and 50 upload-----Over wired/wireless? how are you testing this. What wired speeds do you get? what wireless speeds do you get? 2.4ghz, 5ghz. More details.
only when I connect the extender with ethernet cable I have the same speed. when it is disconnected (right next to the modem) the speed is 10 mb
hope u can help me.
thx
Like I said earlier, directly connect a laptop/pc to the extender and move it around. See what speeds you get. You also need to let me know your router model number. if its a 2.4ghz only router, you're speeds are going to be drastically less. These details are important even if you think they aren't.
