EX7000 and EX8000 wired connection but no connection
I have a EX7000|AC1900 wifi extender that I bought 2 years ago with old firmware, it used to never disconnects but now it does at least 2-3 times a day. Only the ethernet connection disconnects, but I need the ethernet connection because my desktop is connected to it and when connected to the wifi only it's super slow. Every time it disconnects I need to keep restarting until it randomly disconnects.
I thought it was a hardware problem so I bought a new EX7000|AC1900 , and it updated it to the new firmware and that one ended up disconnecting the ethernet like every 5 minutes. So I ended up returning it.
Now I just bought the AC3200 | EX8000 wifi extender and it was on an old firmware and it was still "connected but no internet" for the ethernet. And on top of that it's even super slower on the wifi than the AC1900. I updated the firmware to the latest one and it keeps connected with internet for a few minutes until no internet for ethernet.
How can I fix this? Preferably on the AC1900 and I'll just return the AC3200. Please help :)
I'm on firmware V1.0.0.50_1.0.102 for the AC1900.

Could be specific to the installation location, a master router wireless thing, massive interference by other WLAN and free band frequency users, ....
Worth is using the current firmware, whereas the "new" 1.0.1.78 Mesh-Feature-Version (out for 10 months!) is cumbersome, I suggest to update yours to EX7000 Firmware Version 1.0.0.66.
Extender or AP mode?
Extender in FastLane or normal dual-band?
What does the EX7000 status page show - screenshots please ...
- while connected?
- when connection to the Internet is lost?
What are the front panel LED showing, specifically (top-down)
- 2.4 GHz Link Rate LED
- 5 GHz Link Rate LED

i've tried it where other ethernet wires aren't connect to the extender besides my desktop and where no one else is connected to the wifi made by the extender.
How do i downgrade the firmware to EX7000 Firmware Version 1.0.0.66.
And it's in extender mode. It's in normal dual-band. I don't really understand fastlane, and AP is just when I connect it to the main router to extend the wifi signal right?
the LED shows all the lights connected. i'm not sure about the status page..
