Hello Tony2360
The best way to get the full speed is if you can run a ethernet cord from your router to your extender and run it in AP mode.

If running an ethernet cable between router and the extender is not possible, what is the next best option to do?

Hello Tony2360
The best way is to find the best wireless channel for your network to get the best signal also playing with the position of the unit will work as well.

I am very frustrated with this extender. I ran an ethernet cable between the router and the extender to configure it as an AP and the thing does not see each other, it keeps telling me that there is a network issue and cannot connect. I have check the Ethernet ports, the Ethernet cables and all are ok.
i need help ASAP, SOON, SOS, otherwise I will return this garbage to Office Depot.

Hello tony2360
Did you try to factory reset the extender then setup the extender again as a AP?
