EX7000 Firmware update when used as a wireless access point?

I've done Google searches.  I do not own a laptop.  I have the EX7000 configured as a wireless access point in an upstairs guest room (there basicall if I have company.  I have an old Mac G5 tower up there that I could connect as well as a small PC (I could disconnect it from my regular network and hook it to the EX7000 via an ethernet connection).  I have a smartphone and tablets as well but these are connected to my normal wifi network (Asus Router).  All I want to do is to be able to update the EX7000 firmware.  Thanks.

Not sure you wanted this update - our EX7000 connected users complained about regular connection loss, or even the inability to locate and connect to the EX7000 in AP mode. We had to roll-back to 1.0.0.66, available from the EX7000 download page https://www.netgear.com/support/product/EX7000.aspx#Firmware%20Version%201.0.0.66

Of course, you can connect either your Mac or the PC to the EX7000 (by LAN or WiFi), and use the http://mywifiext.net/ .

Alternate, check your router "Attached Devices" or "DHCP table" to locate the EX7000 LAN IP address, and connect by a browser from anywhere on your (W)LAN.
