EX7300 - Data lag
Hi.
I just got an EX7300 last night and the setup went well. I've been experiencing an issue with connectivity, however. When I connect a wifi device (in this case, an iphone) to either of the bands on the extender and try to pull down a web page, the progress bar on the browser will hang for about 10 seconds before any data comes through. During this time, if I turn off wifi and go through the cell network, the data comes down immediately. It's as though it's trying to resolve the connection. Sometimes it hangs and never comes back and the request will time out.
The extender is connected to a uverse gateway, model 5268AC.
All suggestions are welcome.

And here's the fix. Set the HTTP Proxy setting to Auto, leave the URL value blank. I have no idea why this works, but I've tested it a few times and there is no longer a lag or failture in getting through the extender.

What kind of speed are you getting on the extender network.

The connection to the existing bands are: 2G - 115Mbps, 5G - 701Mbps. Signal strengh is great between the gateway and the extender.
I just connected to the 2G extension from my desktop machine and the speed shows as 144Mbps.

I don't have the bands bridged, but I'm experiencing the same problem. I'm not sure if this guy ever found a fix, but it appears that iphones just don't want to work with Netgear extenders.
