EX7500 SSID Configuration

I have just purchase an NETGEAR EX7500 - 100nas. I have an AT&T Router Model # 6268AC. Would it be better for performance and range to set up my extender (2.4GHz & 5GHz)to the same SSID as my router or set the Extender to different SSID? example Router SSID = 125457 and Extender SSID for 2.4GHz 125457 & 5GHZ 125457, or SSID 2.4GHz 125457_ 2GEXT & 5GHZ 125457_5GEXT ?

    I'd try it with the mesh setup first. and give it a couple days to learn the band steering. 

    if it doesn't work well, you can always revert to seperating out the ssids. But I find myself prefering the one ssid feature.
