EX7700 RANGE EXTENDER
I have an RBR760 with 2 satellites and great coverage. I bought a used EX7700 for the sole purpose of hardwiring an old Tivo Mini in my basement. It doesn't support wifi so my plan was to hardwire it to the extender. I can only get it working in AP mode rather than extender mode. The firmware is V1.0.0.148 I cannot get it to update, either through auto or downloading the firmware. Did I buy a brick or is there a work around? BTW, I did not have the option of RBR760 in the post.
Thanks. I kept getting error messages, including corrupted file. Today I rebooted and retried and it worked. I set up different SSID's and now I can't get into the extender to adjust settings! 🙂

Download the EX7700 firmware archive from https://www.netgear.com/support/product/ex7700#download, unzip, and store to a location where you can handle files with the .img extension. Note. There is no need to open or further unpack the .img file. Just seect the .img file for the upload.
Once updated and restarted, please let us know where you are struggling with configuring the extender mode.
