EX8000 in AP Mode Will Access Control Work?

The ex8000 will use all three bands while in ap mode but the access control and mac filtering will be handled by your router.

Sorry, but this does not answer my question. I wish to use the EX8000 to do MAC filtering and Access Control while in AP mode. Will it do that or are these options grayed out when in AP mode? I'm using a DSL modem and do not want to use that for MAC filtering.

DarrenMis there a netgear product that allows me to do MAC Filtering and Access Control while in Access Point Mode? I don't need a router. I already have a nighthawk R8000. Previously, I could use MAC filtering on that, but newer firmware disabled it. I use it only in AP mode, but want to replace it with something better.
