EX8000 keeps losing the 2.4gHZ channel Hardware Version: EX8000 Firmware Version: V1.0.1.22
I've contacted support numerous times and so far I've unplugged, reset, and factory reset it. It worked for a day with factory reset but it lost the channel after a day. Do I need a new one or is it ...

There is no extend 2.4Ghz box. There is a disable 2.4Ghz radio which disables it but then only have 5Ghz available. I have devices that work only on 2.4Ghz channel.

What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
Is the Extender in wireless repeater or wireless access point (AP) mode wired to the router?
If in repeater mode, what speed is the link to the router?
Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
That page will also have any software and firmware for your device.
We don't actually know very much about the problem you have. For example, you said earlier:
it lost the channel after a day.
What is "it" and what "channel" are you talking about.
In other words, provide a detailed description of what is happening and what you see and you might get more detailed advice.
This helps to rule out things like issues with your wifi clients rather than the extender.
