What is the Mfr and model# of the main host router?
If your seeing only two SSIDs from the main host router, this is a dual band router. the EX8000 is a tri band Extender. The EX would only be using the two radios instead of 3.
I would rename your host wifi SSIDs to Network2 and Network5 to help lessen the confusion of SSID naming conventions.

The EX8000 is a Tri-Band Mesh Extender. There is supposed to be Smart Roaming and 1 WIFI name. This info is straight off the packaging. I am trying to use it with my dual band modem/router from my ISP. All I am asking is how its supposed to be setup to operate as described by its name. Support had me setup the extender wiith the typical dual band _2GEXT and _5GEXT SSIDs.I do not believe that will allow it to operate as a Tri-Band Mesh Extender. When you logon to the extender there are not that many options - Add a new Extender, which she had me do. She also said to say NO to 1 WIFI name and NO to Smart Connect. I do not recall if we ran Smart Setup; I believe we did. I am simply unclear on how to config the EX8000 as designed - a Tri-Band WIFI Mesh Extender. I will have to contact support a 3rd time to attempt to get support and guidance on what to do.
