As far as I know, the starlink routers are based off openwrt which works fine with the EX8000.
Are you setting it up using wps or using the installation assistant?
what firmware are you on for the EX8000

you can get it from the app or logging in through the browser.
Did you set it up using wps?

OK, this morning I awoke to find my starlink wouldn't connect to the internet.
All I could do, was to unplug the system for 20 minutes, and then re-plug it back in. (suggestion from starlink website).
When I plugged it back in, everything came back up. On a guess I tried to connect the nighthawk extender, and it worked.
I can only imagine that the starlink downloaded an update, and the reboot after updating didn't work. I needed to manually cycle power, and now everything is working.
