EX8000 Unable to check for firmware update
Whenever I’m checking to see if my extender needs an update (through the Nighthawk app), I always get an error message saying that it’s unable to check for a firmware update. Can someone please help me with this?

what firmware version are you on?
you can always update it manually.https://kb.netgear.com/000061572/How-do-I-manually-update-the-firmware-on-my-NETGEAR-WiFi-Extender
I prefer to do it this route over a hardwired connection. tends to have much less issues with corrupt firmware problems.
