What method of setup did you use for the extender?
Did you set it up using the push button WPS method or using the installation assistant?
Is it only the tv that disconnects?
Is the tv connected to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz?

Connected via was. It finds cox router, tv gives me choices of 2.4 and 5.
I set it to 5. New Samsung TV.
It finds 5 but after a day or so, reverts to cox router, not 2.4 or 5.
I then have to go into tv settings to set back to ext...which sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Former tv had poor wifi cars so I got new tv, which is two small rooms from where router is. No impediments in the way, and 1 story house

You should be able to go into the tv and delete the old network so its not connecting to it.
Have you tried installing the extender using the installation assistant?
- deesigner2Jul 16, 2022AspirantI don't have an old network. I have a router that cox identifies. Then two netgear ext networks.
Do, network A, the netgear ext2.4 and ext 5 - deesigner2Jul 16, 2022AspirantI don't have an old network. I have a router that cox identifies. Then two netgear ext networks.
So, network A, the netgear ext2.4 and ext 5

How is it reverting to the cox router if its ssid/password isn't programed into the TV?
or do you have the same ssid/password set for the router and extender?- deesigner2Jul 17, 2022AspirantYes have same login for router and extender.

If you have them set with the same ssid, change them. The tv is what decides whether to connect to the router or the extender when they use the same ssid. The only way to force it to stay connected to the extender is for the extender to have its own ssid and to delete the routers info from the tv.
