How do you know its connecting to the "wrong network"?
what router are you trying to connect it to?
Have you tried factory resetting it by pushing and holding reset for 7-15 second while powered on and then following the installation assistant (not wps)?

The old network plus -EXT comes on when it is plugged in. And that network is not there when not plugged in so i a fairly confident it connect to the old network
I have tried factory resetting it. I have tried connecting it in the same room as the router. Everything I have tried seems to produce the same outcome of it connecting to the old network
I am unsure what router I am trying to connect to as it is located in my landlords property

that version of extender should have an ethernet port. you should be able to directly connect a pc/laptop to it and access it that route. Just make sure to disable the wifi on whatever device you connect so it doesn't default back to that connection
- mikemckernan29May 15, 2021AspirantI have just tried this. The laptop is connected to the WiFi I need it to connect but when I plug the extender in it still connects to the wrong network. I still get the same error message on mywifiext .net saying I am not connected to the extender?
