Extending my mesh WiFi 6 MR60/MS60

I have MR60 MS60 WiFi6 mesh

I need another satellite (MS60)

However, I cannot buy this in the uk, from uk website. It is avail in US but they will not post.

I have asked about WiFi booster EX7700 and was told this will act as extender but not satellite.

I am therefore assuming it will only connect to the existing satellite 80211.n rather than 802.11ax

Is that right, ie only a shared 400Mb rather than Gb ?

I also assume it will propagate my axisting WiFi SSID rather than create a new WiFi SSID is that right too ?

That's kind of ok but I was just checking.

Wonder why I cannot buy the satellite in UK though. Annoying

It could be a stock issue with it not being available.

What you can check on is guying another kit and just selling the MR60 and keeping the satellites.

I've seen that done a lot.

in terms of the ex7700, you might actually see better performance than if you used a ms60 satellite.

Reason why is the ex7700 is a triband and has a dedicated backhaul. So even though its backhaul is 866mbps (link speed) its dedicated and that's ALL its used for. I haven't tested it (don't have that system) but it was the main benefit of the triband extenders and why the triband mesh systems work better.

OK thank you that's interesting I hadn't really got into triband but I get that now.

Anyway, I have bought MS60 off eBay so I'm sure that will be fine but thank you for the advice
