Extending range using C7100V and AC1750 without hard wire connection. Can I do this with these?
Can I connect the C7100 to the ac1750 via a bridge (no cat 5 connection) to extend wifi coverage?

Negative. To bridge a router you need the wire. If you put it in AP mode you can extend range I believe, but it will not be a mesh network (2 SSIDs).
