Extending WiFi to remote garage

I have a garage remote from the house several hundred feet. My question is could I buy two EX 3700 WiFi extenders and put one in the house near a window facing the garage and then one in the garage window facing the house to get a WiFi signal in the garage. ( mostly to use for wireless cameras ). ?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

    could you do it? probably.

    would it work? potentially but you'd have horrible speeds if it did connect.

    What I'd look at instead? the netgear airbridge setup. its designed for broadcasting at a distance. It'd be more expensive but it'd be more stable and have faster speeds.
