The yard's window is also at the connection of the arms. From there the signal can penetrate one arm of the L through glass only, with no walls interfeering. It saves 2 of 4 external walls to the other one.
This inquiry is at all on air because the installation there is complicated even for a trial and very compllicated for permanent utilization.

That could help then. Unfortunately the only easy way to tell is to try it. Though inconvenient, a temporary placement there would let you can see if coverage in the arms improves w/o the extenders. If it doesn't change much, then it won't help the extenders either.
Using an Orbi (either as a router or an AP) is perhaps also worth considering - though it would be more expensive.
