Seems like switch is ok but extender is again intermittent. Would the fact that I’ve upgraded to fibre optic broadband be relevant? My average seeped is 60mbps now and the EX3700 only accommodates 20mbps??

Did you try the extender with it connected directly to the router? And its still intermittent?
A couple things you could try.
1. set the extender with a static ip address within your router
2. reinstall the firmware on the extender (maybe its corrupt), factory reset it, and then reinstall it.
is it only a certain band thats intermittent or do both drop?

The extender is intermitent pulgged directly into the router.
Are there instructions as to how to set a static IP address on the extender?
Do you think the fact my boradband speed is 70 mbps (tested today) and might be too fast for this extender?
Many thanks

Are there instructions as to how to set a static IP address on the extender? ----You do it through the router. You'd want to look up the manual for whatever router you have.
Do you think the fact my boradband speed is 70 mbps (tested today) and might be too fast for this extender? ---No the 5ghz should handle 70mbps without issue if its hardwired in. You wouldn't get that speed out of the 2.4ghz but the 5 should.
Many thanks
