High current draw
My router draws 9 amps at 19 vdc, isn’t that a very high current load??? The unit works fine, but is warm to the touch. Any thoughts?????

Again, how exactly are you measuring it?
what device?
Or are you measuring it off a solar charger thats direct feeding it?
More details is going to help figure out whats going on.
But the router won't draw more power than it needs. If you're feeding it the proper voltage, its only going to draw the amps it needs.
My bet would be on your device not measuring accurately, measuring wrong, or adding in something else.
