This is about the standard for many years. However, the information ref, the User Manual is there - just the complete QSG of the v1 hardware is much to long, so it's hard to find.
I'm a little bit disappointed the Helpdesk (paid work, by Netgear) was not able to assist you further. Almost everything I could think about required is in the fine UM.
Yes, it’s the standard, but I’ve also found it standard for the “quick start guide” to guide you through the quickest way. Therefore, I did not look for the manual off the bat.
