How to set different radio channel for _ext wlan ?
Hi all !
My main router i quite far from my extender and actually I cannot have the network extended.
I notice that the _ext wlan is located at the same channel of the main. Wlan.
This cause interference if the main wlan it is not enough strong.
Notice that i can see the main wlan during the setup but in the final step the wn1000rp
Continue to ask to bring the extender closer to the main router.
I got how to change the _ext ssid and relative security protocol but the radio channel is set in grey (auto) and no way to change it.
Any hint welcome !

From the place I placed the wn1000rp it is possible to connect with a pc the main router ; but the Netgear extender cannot :-(
Very appreciate any hint about how to chang the radio channel.
I would like to do this test.

Good to see i m not alone :-)!
Up to now what i got is that the dw1000rp adopt the same radio channel of the main wlan and that Changing ssid does not make a new L3 lan , the
extender try to use the same dhcp server of the main
wlan. Infact you see than once connected to the main
wlan the remote host that previously had as gateway
the extender itself change the gw to the ip of tge main ap.
It is a pity that it is not possible to change the radio
channel because this is limiting the range of the
extender. Different radio channel mean
less noise and longer distance between main and
_ext network.
I would like also to connect an ext antenna but no hint from web at the present.

Page 31. looks like Auto for channel so try adjust channel on main wireless router that helps in area it has problem that maybe less on main router .
Do some site survey on what channel are been used such as INSSIDER - The WN1000RP can only function as a repeater and as such HAS to be on the same channel as the base router, running it on a different channel is NOT an option.
