I am new to this community. I have an ex2700 extender and download speed poor.

N300 extenders aren't going to have good performance. There's several reason why.
1. 2.4ghz is much slower than 5ghz
2. extenders drop speed 50% because they have to send and receive with the same wireless chip and they can't do both at once.
3. 2.4ghz is more sensitive to interference
I'd recommend taking a look at tested speeds on N300 devices so you have a comparison of what expected speeds are for a n300 extender.
Here's a review site. But something to keep in mind is the testing is under optimal conditions. So these are the best speeds these devices can expect.
