I need to find my password/pin code for my Netgear Router

I have reset my nighthawk wifi and updated firmware, now when I tried to get into the 

Netgear it asked for a password for admin which I put in what I thought was correct but I can’t

get In ,can someone tell me how to go about it.

I did try pressing the “I forgot my password “ but that only took me to a page that asked the same thing, put in admin password.
