I updated the Intel driver and made sure the wi-fi utility is WMM enabled as well (good call!). Yet I still keep getting disconnected when I try to enable WMM from the Netgear settings page.
My other wi-fi settings:
Channel Width for Band 2.4 - Auto
Channel Width for Band 5.2 - Auto
nmode - Enabled
Ad hoc Channel - 11 (least crowded in area)
Ad hoc default wireless mode 0.802.11 b/g
Power management - Noisy Environment (I live in an apt. in NYC)
Qos - WMM Enabled
Fat Channel Intolerant - Disabled
Mixed Mode Protection - RTS/CTS Enabled
Roaming Aggressiveness - Highest
Throughput - Enabled
Transmit Power - Highest
Wireless Mode - .802.11 a/b/g
Connection speed is generally 11 mbps.
Anything I'm missing? Is the router itself too limited to get up to 20 mbps wirelessly?
