The Extender should be able to use the same IP coming from you main router because the extender does not have its own DHCP server.
If this extender is really connected to you main wireless network but showing a different IP the best thing to do is give the extender a static IP address'
you cann access the UI by goint to mywifiext.net
just go to: Setup > IP address > Use static IP Address
IP Address: 10.x.x.240 (this is for your extender
IP Subnetmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway IP Address: 10.x.x.x (Default gateway or ip from your router)
Primary DNS: 10.x.x.x (Default gateway or ip from your router)
this will force your extender to use the same range of IP coming from your main wireless network
