Just purchased a Netgear nighthawk AC1900 range extender

Just purchased a Netgear range extender AC1900 WiFi Mesh Extender (EX7000) Am trying to set it up but it keeps telling me Connected without internet. I have followed the instructions to the letter still I get the same message. Can anyone help?

    1. what router are you connecting it to? 

    2. what version of firmware is on it? 

    3. what method of setup are you using? The push button WPS method? Using the installation assistant?
