Laptop can't connect to internet through extender

By firmware I meant Netgear Genie. I didn't use any other 3rd party programs. It's the extenders own setup, and we set it up with installation assistant (smart setup), not manual wps. It is connected to a Linkem router (it's the name of the internet company and their router)
We bought the extender about a week ago. Because of work I was connected, and using the internet (through extender) a big part of the day, and it worked fine until now. So we can't figure out what caused the problem.

What actual linksys modem is it? (model helps)
If its a new device, you should still have the option of free support.
To get a hold of support. Click on "MyNetgear" at the top.
Register an account (or login) and then the device.
From there you can start the support process. Keep in mind that its only free for the first 90 days.

It's not Linksys. The name of the telcom/internet company is Linkem, and their name is on router. I checked model and it says WVRTM-130ACN. I googled the model and a brand called Gemtek came up.
Yes it's a new device, have it for only 1 week. I'll try to contact support 🙂
