Laptop->wifi->WN3000RP fails but Laptop->wifi->router->wifi->WN3000RP works
I'm one of the people having trouble setting up a WN3000RP. My problem seems subtly different to the others. I have a router (Huawei HG556a, supplied by my network provider) and that seems to be work...
try lowering mode to 150, also placing them within feet of each other is asking for troulble.

I can't find an option to change the mode. I assume it ought to be under 'Wireless Settings' and there are two on my interface: under 'Maintenance' and under 'Advanced'. neither of these show an option to change the mode.
The WN3000RP and the router are only next to each other so I can try things out while solving the problem. I moved the WN3000RP upstairs for a while yesterday, close to where I plan to keep it permanently, but it made no difference to the problem, it just meant I had to go up and down the stairs more.:(
So I'll give the mode change a go, but I'll need advice on where to change it, and once I've changed it I'll try moving the WN3000RP back upstairs.
