Laptop->wifi->WN3000RP fails but Laptop->wifi->router->wifi->WN3000RP works
I'm one of the people having trouble setting up a WN3000RP. My problem seems subtly different to the others. I have a router (Huawei HG556a, supplied by my network provider) and that seems to be work...
Okay it is working now. I found a reference here to the same router+WN3000RP setup but a different problem. They mentioned they had disabled the MAC address on the router, an option I'd looked for but not found. A bit more searching and I found there is a way if you log in as a different user (advanced/advanced) and I turned it off.
After that it just worked.
