Hi, this has probably been asked a billion times, apologies if so.
We have the above extender and a TPLink AC1750 router. The two connect and we can see the extender network on the available network list. However, despite entering the correct user name and password *100%* correct as we can log directly onto the network using the same name and pwd combo, it tells us that the username or password is incorrect!
Any thoughts will be most welcome

Are you trying to access the wireless or the gui for the extender? I'm just wanting to figure that out.
If you can't access the wireless due to wrong user name/password, you can hardwire into the extender and go to mywifiext.net. From there you can log into the gui and change wireless names and passwords. Default login is admin and default password is password.
If for some reason you can't log into the gui because the default login info was changed, then you might have to reset the device back to factory to access it. To do it, hold the reset button for 7-10 seconds. You'll need to reinstall it. It does have the option of forgotten password recovery but if you didn't set it up or don't remember the answers, it won't work. Page 35 talks about setup.
