Long Range Extender for Nighthawk
Which netgear extender provides the longest range? I have a workshop that is 150ft from my house. My router is the D7800 Nighthawk X4S jAC2600. Thank you
150ft is a bit of a challenge for an extender. its a bit of distance as well as the exterior of buildings tend to have materials that block wifi very well. Like metal siding, brick/concrete, foil lined insulation, etc.
You might be able to make a daisy chained setup work. (router----extender at house------extender at garage). You'd probably take a bit of a speed hit going that route. the EX8000 is the top of the line AC extender. Or the EAX80 is the top of the line AX extender from netgear.
or you could go with a point to point system like netgear airbridge.
Or you could simply bury an underground ethernet cable for the best connection.
