MAC spoofing on AC1200 range extender?
Hi,
I'm connecting my AC1200 range extender directly to the wifi provided by the internet provider. However, they limit the number of devices connected.
Is it possible to spoof the MAC addresses of connected devices on the AC1200 (or: can I change the virtual Mac addresses for each connected device to the range extenders MAC address)?
I can't find any options for this in the admin panel.
Regards,
M

An extender is a layer 2 networking device, so it wouldn't make sense for it to convert multiple MAC addresses into its own MAC address. That's a job that a Wi-Fi router is tailor-made to do. Since you already have the extender, you can just pick up a Wi-Fi router and connect it to the extender with Ethernet. Then have all of your devices use the router's Wi-Fi.
