Model EX 2700 Wifi Extender

Hi, I just want to ask a question concerning the WIFI range extender EX2700.

I bought one of these about a year ago and have used it at home. The other day at work we were getting quite poor signal on our mobile phones. The works allows us to use their WIFI. On the shop floor the signal is on times poor. I told them about this extender. The next day I took it into work and plugged it in.

I am on a different service provider to the one at work.

When I plugged the extender in I was able to connect to the internet under my provider, and as the password was already saved in my mobile it went straight through.

Others couldn't use the extender as they didn't have my routers password.

Does this mean that the extender becomes a mobile router that can connect through any other router.

It obviously wasn't connecting through my home router as that was 6 miles away.

We have since purchased another EX2700 to be used at work.

    Hello swancourt9

Yes the extender should be able to connect to any router to extend the signal.

I will let my friend know. He is off on holday (in this country) and has one of these extenders. Last year he had to take an old mobile phone and use that as an access point for his new mobile. Knowing that you can take the extender and use that as a mobile router for your service provider will be a great help.

      Thanks for your feedback.
