Model EX 3110 won't connect to my spectrum router

I've tried several different ways now but my extender doesn't want to connect to my Spectrum router and the Nighthawk app says it's not supported.

    What spectrum router? A few had issues with extenders. Did you set it up using the push button WPS option? 

    If so, factory reset the extender  and set it up using the installation assistant.

    To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
