Multiple extenders
Hello, looking for some help on my home network. First thing is let me say I have extremely limited network knowledge. If I can hook it up and it connects I consider it successful. I do come from the era before computers were even a thing. High school was in the 70’s and what little I’ve learned is self taught.
Due to the way my home was built in the 1960’s my router and internet connections are located in a room without access for easily running hard wire connections. I have two extenders and an old router I’m using as an extender (I believe anyway!) The reason I have extenders is because my kitchen is between the router and the rest of the house and when installing wireless security cameras I was told the metal and microwaves were the reason my cameras wouldn’t function so I needed extenders.
So now we have recently been able to get fiber optic internet in our area and I keep having some issues with my Ciena box getting dropped by the companies servers and I have to keep calling in to service to get it re-connected. It takes about an hour to reach a tech and :10sec to re-connect. Frustrating? Very! So while going through all this mess a tech told me I needed to combine all my extenders under one connection. I hope I’m explaining this correctly! What I’m saying is I have about 6 wi-fi names that come up on my phone and he said they needed to be combined to reduce searching between devices. (he called it the grass is greener when looking for the best signal)
I hope I’m explaining this correctly? Anyway, I have no idea how to accomplish this. Would any kind soul on here care to attempt to explain this to me? I would really appreciate any help anyone could provide.
I will gladly try to provide any answers I can as I’m sure y’all have many unanswered questions but again I have zero networking experience other than hooking up routers and pushing the WPS button on extenders for connections.
THANKS IN ADVANCE for any help.

What speeds do you pay for?
I never recommend using more than 1 range extender as they'll drop speeds and increase latency. And the older ones aren't "mesh" so cause more SSID's.
If you're still using old enough stuff that they aren't mesh, I'm betting your gear is a bit older. If it was me, I'd move to a half decent mesh system like Orbi with a dedicated backhaul.
that'd be the triband versions or even quad band. You can pickup used or refurbished last generation devices that will be a pretty rock solid upgrade fo ryou. I've seen the 753/763 for around that $200 and the 853/863 for around that $350. Which are both pretty solid options

It would be very helpful to have a complete list of the networking equipment. i.e.
- What device has the ISP installed?
- What is connected directly to that device? (brand and model number)
- What are these "extenders" (model numbers) and how are they connected to the primary device?
