Mywifiext net login setup page not working
Yes you are right. I was also unable to login mywifiext first but then i saw your post. It was worth the time.
I followed your Mywifiext login page setup guide:
Open my wifi box.
plugged it in the power.
wait for the light to get solid.
- now connect your tab/mobile with the default SSID for the Extender i.e '"Netgear_Ext".
- Open any web browser on the device and go to mywifiext net.
- Now click on New Extender Setup.
- Now enter the default login credentials for the account setup.
- Hit the finish Button.
Note: If you're unable to open Mywifiext net you can go the default login IP address i.e 192.168.1.250.

That setup flow works like a charm if followed step by step. And yes, using the default IP (192.168.1.250) is a great backup when mywifiext net doesn't load. Netgear setup can be tricky sometimes, but once it's done right, it runs smoothly!
what if this doesn't work? I picked one up at an estate sale, seller threw it in. I brought it home, factory reset it, downloaded the manuel & started trying to connect to it.
let the power go solid green, connected to each EXT SSID in turn, browser would not open the mywifiext dot net page. so I started researching, beginning here.
someone said connect a network cable to the extender RJ-45, so I did, while I'm still connected by wi-fi to an _ext SSID. try opening browser. nada. it tells me DNS lookup cannot locate the URL. fine.
then I think - the extender might be my default gateway. so I get that IP - 192.168.1.250. try a web browser to that. nada. page doesn't load.
attached are my IP address settings showing the extender as my default gateway.
I literally have only my time invested in this so far. I'd like to see if it will work, so here I am.
any more ideas? TIA.
oh - also tried using multiple browsers - Chrome, current version I think 139.0.7258.128 and also Edge, also current version I think 139.0.3405.86, alternating form one to the other
