N300 Wifi Extender Keeps Disconnecting from Sagemcom Router

verified the most updated firmware of my N300 Wifi Extender

Model: EX2700

Trying to connect to Sagemcom Router

I can successfully connect the unit but it only lasts a few minutes, then it disconnects, then automatically reconnects, and disconnects and reconnects and gets stuck in the connect and disconnect cycle

What firmware is it? up to date doesn't help.

    Which sagecom router?

A couple things you could try would be:

    1. wireless channel scan to find the least congested channel. You can get these for phones or computers. You can usually find them free. Try to use channels 1-6-11.

    2. Set a static ip address for the extender. You'll need to look at your specific router's manual to set that up.

    3. Move the extender. Sometimes such things as HVAC or other structures can cause interference and moving to a different outlet will help with connection.

    4. What does your router led on the extender show? color wise?

    5. Try moving it closer or even further away.

Extenders require a little bit more effort during setup to ensure a good connection to the router. this means moving them around a little and testing in different locations, making sure their on the optimal wifi channel.  Another problem with extenders is their dependant on the main router, if the main router didn't even have that great of the 2.4ghz radion, the extender is going to struggle.
